Max Maxwell is an owner of "Mom's Music" in Louisville KY. He has designed and renovated the old Tumbleweed restaurant at 1900 Melwood Ave. It now houses several teaching studios designed to accomodate individual lessons as well as "Rock School". A six week intensive study which culminates in a live Rock Concert; these classes are for ages 6-18. An adult version is called "Weekend Warriors" where musicians or wannabes play in a band of their peers.

Max is from the Louisville, Kentucky area, where he has been a major influence on music scene for over 35 years. He started playing drums when he was 10 years old.

Max has played music with several bands/genres over the years. Country, Rock, Jazz, Cajun Creole, Heavy Metal, Pop, Blues to name just a few types. Max played Janis Joplin's drummer in a production of "Love , Janis" in Louisville, KY and Cincinnatti, OH.

He now plays exclusive dates with Gary Lewis and the Playboys throughout the country and Canada. While in Louisville he is the drummer for the best regional dance band: The Louisville Crashers
